Certain heavy furniture designs, such as waiting room benches, reception sofas or industrial coffee tables, rest on horizontal rectangular profiles. The horizontal rectangular tube glide is a protective solution specially machined to accommodate this unique orientation, where the widest surface of the tube is in contact with the floor. This finishing accessory is distinguished by its extra-wide base, which wraps around the flat underside of the frame to provide exceptional structural stability and optimal distribution of heavy loads.

The horizontal configuration generates specific mechanical stresses: as the weight is distributed over a very long contact line, there is a high risk of standard glides sagging. This enveloping glide, moulded from ultra-high-strength polymers, counteracts this phenomenon by providing an extremely wide sliding surface. It neutralises the harshness of the metal and prevents it from gouging deep into your linoleum, floating parquet or workshop resin flooring.
